AJ is the Managing Principal and Founder of Antilles Capital Partners where he raises equity and debt for real estate operating companies. He has spent the last 15 years working within the institutional commercial real estate and capital markets industry and has placed more than $2.3 billion in debt and equity financing for investors and developers throughout the U.S.

Prior to founding ACP, he worked for Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (now JLL Capital Markets), a leading provider of capital markets services to the commercial real estate industry. His experience encompassed placing capital for all primary property types including Retail, Office, Industrial, Multi-Family, Mixed-Use as well as alternative assets such as Senior Housing, Student Housing, and Cold Storage.

During his tenure, he established quality relationships with capital partners that included commercial and regional banks, insurance firms, specialty credit vehicles, equity funds, and family offices. This role allowed him to provide strategic direction to clients on the formation of the capital stack and the optimal structure to implement their business plans on both single-asset or portfolio transactions.

Earlier in his career, he worked for InvenTrust Properties, a Chicago based REIT that focused on owning and operating a portfolio of grocery-anchored and necessity-based shopping centers nationwide. He played an integral role with the acquisition of notable retail assets and was responsible for executing property-level business plans on an 18-property portfolio that encompassed 3.1MM square feet.

While working in a dynamic capacity, he gained valuable experience interacting with executive management and other professionals who played critical roles in the operations of the portfolio. These responsibilities within the company allowed him to obtain insights on the best practices required to proactively manage commercial real estate assets as well as effectively communicate with all of the stakeholders throughout the company.

AJ started his career within the Institutional Sales & Trading division of Citigroup’s investment banking platform. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Finance & Real Estate from Marquette University School of Business, in Milwaukee, WI.
